 Caltrain and BART Rapid Rail are some of the rail networks in San Jose apart from which there is also an airport with linkages to major cities in the US and abroad. A reasonably priced bus service also operates in this city. The city is all about ease of moving from one point to another from shopping to tourist attractions.  Apart from affordable public transportation, San Jose offers wide ranging options of transport and  has the conveniences of major US cities when it comes to travel. There is also 24 hour bus service apart from regular cab services from private operators as well as public transport.

Mineta San Jose International Airport is located at the epicenter of San Jose. It has an area of 1050 acres. Airport borders south accessible by I-880, located to the east by Highway 87 and accessed in the north by Highway 101. The airport received 9.4 million passengers in 2014 which is an average of 26,000 passengers each day. Terminal A has 16 gates and there are over a dozen gates in Terminal B. SJC Terminal B is certified LEED Silver by the US Green Building Council. Free Wi-FI and world class customer service are some other appealing features.

San Jose By Road 

Around 2400 miles of roadways and related infrastructure are available for people to commute on. San Jose is well connected to San Francisco. It offers a range of transportation choices and the city equals an area totaling 180 miles. While downtown is walkable, San Jose can also be accessed from many freeways including 101,880,237,280 and 680. VTA

Bus/Shuttle Service

VTA offers bus shuttle services (http://www.vta.org). With greater than 30 train routes throughout the US, Amtrak travels to 500 destinations in close to 46 states.  VTA also offers rail services. Bus shuttle services are offered for San Jose and adjoining areas. The airport can also be accessed through this shuttle service. VTA offers reliable transportation options. SamTrans provides 24/7 bus service connecting SFO to San Mateo County and certain areas in San Francisco. SamTrans buses are available for commuting to the car rental centers and airport. VTA operates a massive network of local bus routes.
